Paduda and Steven Feinberg, M.D. present ‘Sorting out Pain Management Guidelines’ on December 1 at 10:45 a.m. Dr. Feinberg, who has a practice in Palo Alto, California, is board certified in pain medicine and is the editor of the ACOEM 2016 Chronic Pain Guidelines.

The session delves into the many different guidelines for chronic pain management and discusses their development. The presentation is designed to help attendees better understand how and when these guidelines should be used.

‘CDC, ODG, ACOEM, ACPA, and California MTUS are just a few of the chronic pain guidelines used in workers’ comp today,’ Paduda said. ‘Dr. Feinberg and I will help attendees distinguish among them and determine which guidelines to use for certain situations.’

Paduda, whose www.ManagedCareMatters.com was one of the first workers’ compensation blogs, returns to the stage at 4:15 p.m. that day for the ‘Bloggers Banquet: A Feast of Workers’ Comp Perspectives.’ Panelists share their varying views on trending topics in workers’ comp.

Coventry Workers’ Comp Services Director of Public Affairs Lisa Anne Forsythe will moderate the session that also features Mark Walls, vice president of communications for Safety National Casualty Corp., and Robert Wilson, author of From Bob’s Cluttered Desk blog on WorkersCompensation.com.

The National Workers’ Compensation & Disability Conference & Expo will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from November 30 through December 2. For details, please see http://www.wcconference.com/.
