It started as a small clinic facility in Deira then expanded into a two-story villa in Jumeirah, where it is still located today. The Covid-19 pandemic affected business enormously for the Clinic, and Dr Soudah is still feeling the impact today. “We are dealing with a lot of scared pregnant women that we needed to stay working with to be able to keep the connection with our patients, as I saw our duty became now more important and delicate,” she elaborates. “We even delivered a few of our pregnant patients in the most difficult times. We were lucky that our patients followed all the rules in protecting themselves as well. I also made sure that all staff are completely vaccinated.” Dr Soudah, like many physicians, employed new techniques and technologies in order to be able to continue to connect with her patients and continue to assist them. “I was more active on social media to spread positive mood and hope for our patients. I spoke more about the role of food and healthy living especially in this time by sharing live cooking on my Instagram; through this I have been keeping connected with my patients. “The Covid time opened our eyes on a lot of things. We started Zoom consultations and we are planning to expand this service overseas so that we can still help patients who can’t travel to come and see us.” In order to stay ahead of the curve regarding medical advancements, Dr Leila Soudah installs and utilises some of the latest technology available on the market at her clinic. For example, the Tru PRP, a machine used for gynaecological- related concerns such as urge incontinence and vaginal rejuvenation, offers a safe and rapid preparation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). It is a closed system, reduces operator error and minimises contamination.
