Creator of Bakslap, Raph McGowan, is an Aussie surfer and big lover of the great outdoors. It was the tragic loss of his beautiful sister Tess to melanoma skin cancer at age 31, that inspired him to create the Bakslap. Raph is passionate about keeping Tess’s memory alive and determined to prevent other families from experiencing such a devastating loss. Bakslap hosts community events and fundraisers in support of research and raising awareness of melanoma and sun safety.
