Different Strokes

Different Strokes is a UK wide charity which supports working age and younger stroke survivors. While historically stroke support has focused on people aged 65+, around 30,000 people of working age across the UK have a stroke every year. The charity offers support through a range of activities including exercise and peer support groups, phone support, and an online network of 5,500 members. A number of new online activities have been introduced as a direct response to the Covid-19 pandemic, including online exercise for stroke survivors, and the charity also runs a telephone befriending service for stroke survivors aged 16-25.
