National Thought Leader in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery (UK): Jim S Khan
<p>Jim Khan is a specialist colorectal &#038; minimal access surgeon,<br />
currently appointed as a consultant surgeon at Portsmouth<br />
Hospitals NHS Trust and Hon Associate Professor at Anglia<br />
Ruskin University and director of Colocare Limited. His training<br />
included senior registrar at Basingstoke, the National<br />
Laparoscopic Fellowship at Colchester (UK) and a travelling<br />
clinical fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester (US). He also travelled<br />
to Korea for training in Robotic colorectal surgery. At Portsmouth<br />
he is actively involved in medical education and clinical training on<br />
a variety of basic and advanced laparoscopic and robotic skills<br />
courses.<br />
Mr Khan has been a national trainer in laparoscopic colorectal<br />
surgery and European proctor and trainer in robotic colorectal<br />
surgery. He has published and presented widely at national and<br />
international meetings and is member of core working groups in<br />
robotic surgery at the RCS, ACPGBI, ALSGBI, ESCP and ASCRS </p>
