The company created its mobile app, Medical PDQ which it went on to further develop in 2019. The Medical PDQ app is designed to be used by surgeons, surgical assistants, CRNAS, vendors, hospitals and more. The scheduling and communication platform connects healthcare workforces. It enables them to stay on top of scheduled surgeries, emergency surgeries, and emergency alerts. They then collaborate via its appointment and personal messaging systems. Staff can create teams and groups, have discussions, receive notifications and share data files all in one easy-to-use location on their phone or laptop. We ask company representative, Sergio Giles, to tell us what inspired ASA to move away from its core business to create the app. He explains, “Our mission with Medical PDQ is to help bridge the gap of communication and scheduling within the healthcare industry. With over 30 years of healthcare experience, our firm brings a unique insight into the healthcare software industry. We understand the actual daily tasks that healthcare personnel have to perform. We incorporated all these daily tasks into the app.” As the only app of its kind, Medical PDQ is at the forefront of this emerging technology. Sergio tells us more about the latest developments in the app. “We’re currently updating Medical PDQ to add new features. Soon we’ll be extending the app to more healthcare professional profiles. This will expand the reach and relevancy of the app in the healthcare sector,” Sergio shares. The app, which is HIPAA compliant, is available from the App Store and Google Play.
